This was mechanical pencil (Bic) on paper - a little sketch book I bought at Walmart.
It is pretty close now. When I did it from memory I got fairly close, but then turned my phone camera around for a selfie and filled in what I was missing (making the jaw line a little wider, the chin drop further, and furrowing the brow more.
So the end result is fairly close.
